What is it: Good Manners 1 is a mixture of Puppy Kindergarten Class and Basic Obedience, where we go over all the basic commands such as sit, down, come, stay, leash walking, leave it, how to focus, etc. We also talk about some common puppy problems such as potty training, chewing, nipping, and jumping up. There will be time for socialization as well, which is very important for the young ones.

Upcoming/Current Dates:
Tuesdays 5:30PM – 6:30PM November 5th – December 3rd
Duration: 5 weeks
Cost: $250
Prerequisites: Must have completed a Good Manners 1, Puppy Kindergarten/Basic Obedience Class or equivalent classes from me or another trainer. (Or, if you can show me your dog can do these things even without said classes)
What is it: In Good Manners 1 we teach the dogs the basics and keep it fairly simple. In Good Manners 2, we start taking it to the next level and make things a lot more difficult. For instance, we will start to learn distance emergency sits and downs, a proper heel command, have the dog actually sit/down calmly beside you while someone distracts, have the dog walk calmly through noisy distractions, teach them to stay even when you leave the room, practicing recalls with distractions, and much more! We will be using the Good Neighbour Test as a guideline, and by the end of class, dogs should be able to pass the test. (Here is a link for more information about the Neighbour Test

What is it: This class is mostly for fun! If you are looking for a way to burn your dog’s energy, or to simply bond with them, teaching your dog some tricks is a great way to do it. You will learn different ways to teach tricks, such as shaping, and luring, and then use these tools to teach many fun tricks such as spins, leg-walks, sitting pretty, roll over, nodding, give me a kiss, back up, shake a paw, and many more! Kids are welcome in all classes but this one is most fun if you are seeking a way for them to bond with their pups.
